How Pakistan Army Saved U.S. Rangers and Fought Against Israel | Untold Military History

History is full of military battles but some of the most amazing stories are not told very often. The Pakistan Armed Forces have been on overseas missions over the years before. During these missions the Pakistan Armed Forces showed a lot of courage they were very professional. They made big sacrifices. People from countries who worked with the Pakistan Armed Forces respected them a lot.. Even now many people do not know about these missions.

In this article we will talk about two important military operations that the Pakistan Armed Forces were a part of. The first operation took place in Mogadishu, Somalia. In Mogadishu Pakistani peacekeepers did a job of helping American soldiers who were trapped. This was during the Battle of Mogadishu which is also known as Black Hawk Down. The second operation happened during the 1973 Arab– War. During this war the Pakistani Army commandos and the Pakistani Air Force helped Egypt and Syria. This was one of the conflicts, in the Middle East. The Pakistan Armed Forces played a role in this war. The Pakistan Armed Forces helped Egypt and Syria during this intense conflict.

In the early 1990s, several units of the Pakistan Army were sent to different countries of the world as part of UN peacekeeping missions. In which 7 FF was sent to Somalia in 1992. There, the unit was sent as a front-runner for the UN mission. Some people will remember that on CNN News, a US Marine was seen Mogadishu anchored off the coast of Somalia. On October 3, when the US Rangers were suddenly attacked, the Quick Reaction Force of the Pakistan Army's Unit 7 FF launched an immediate response and led the multinational rescue team. And the 15 FF escorted many American Rangers to safety in their armored vehicles, which were praised by the US President and US Central Commando.

This mission became one of the finest examples of Pakistan Army's professionalism and courage under the United Nations peacekeeping mission. While the events of Black Hawk Down are widely remembered around the world, the contribution of Pakistani soldiers often receives far less attention. Their quick response, determination, and bravery helped save the lives of many trapped American Rangers, earning respect from military leaders and reinforcing Pakistan's reputation as one of the world's most experienced UN peacekeeping forces.

Now Let's Explain Pakistan Army and Air-force Fight against Israel 1973

When the Arab-Israeli war broke out in 1973, the Pakistan Army secretly took part, with up to 200 SSG commandos and a brigade of up to 5,000 soldiers and about two squadrons of the Air Force.

In this war, Israel built the world's strongest defense system on the banks of the Suez Canal. This system was named Barleaf. In which a high wall of sand and concrete was erected. It was accompanied by strong fortifications with a platoon of 28 soldiers at a distance of 100 kilometers each and landmines around these fortifications as well as heavy machinery in iron bunkers. But here's the thing. 

How did a few thousand Pakistani soldiers destroy the strong system of Israel?

In this war, Syria and Egypt had planned to avenge the 1967 war. And in that war, the Pakistan Air Force controlled Egypt's internal system. And 200 young men of the SSG, under the supervision of General Teka Khan, stood ready on the banks of the Suez Canal on October 5, 1973. Remember that in order to fight any enemy, it is very important to understand its defense system and its readiness for war. Based on which fighting strategies are made. As part of a strategy, early in the morning, Egyptian rocket units and up to 2,000 artillery shells began shelling the Israeli front. Fighting the enemy's firing line and crossing the water The bombing of fighter jets and the fire of petrol in the water made the atmosphere extremely horrible. Many SSG men were martyred in the water and those who crossed the Suez Canal. 

How they attacked the enemy's fronts. It was only God who saw it. They fought in the face of certain death. Almost all the young men were martyred but Israel's strong defense system was destroyed ۔ 

Then the Egyptian forces quickly built a bridge and entered the desert chest. On the Syrian side, on the other hand, the Israelis were increasingly approaching Damascus. It was the eighth day of the battle, and they were very close to Damascus. The Pakistan Army Brigade was stationed in Jordan until the answer. After that, considering the situation in Syria, ignoring the Jordanian government, the Pakistan Army brigade was withdrawn from there and deployed to defend Damascus. As a result, not only did Israel's advance stop, but they were pushed back. During this time the brigade had to fight several times. In addition, the Pakistan Air Force destroyed five Israeli fighter jets while defending Egypt internally. In which a Pakistan Air Force fighter jet was damaged. The name of firefighter Sitara Alvi is mentioned earlier ۔

In this war, despite the small number of Pakistani troops, Egypt and Syria were saved from defeat. And Israel suffered failure and defeat. Israel still remembers this war. Maybe that's why Israel is afraid of Pakistani forces.

Although the exact extent of Pakistan's military involvement in the 1973 Arab–Israeli War remains a subject of historical debate, the courage and dedication of the Pakistani personnel who served alongside Arab forces are widely remembered with respect. Their contribution reflects Pakistan's long-standing military professionalism and willingness to support allied nations during times of conflict.
